Holden Business Solutions is led by Joe Carnes, whose background spans finance and technology in the industries HBS serves. He spent more than a decade at Standard Sand & Silica, a multi-location sand and gravel producer, serving as Controller and CFO before leading technology as IT Director and CIO. His work spanned Command Alkon Apex on the operations side and Dynamics GP on the financial side, with integration, SQL, and reporting connecting the two across an organization of as many as seventeen entities.
He also spent four years in civil construction finance and project controls, covering estimating, forecasting, project accounting, and project performance in Deltek Costpoint.
That combination is the difference. Most firms approach these problems from one side.
